2027 Winter/Spring Classes

Registration Opens in November

We are excited to offer our Winter/Spring Reading Rangers phonics classes for Pre-K and 5/6 Program (Transitional Kindergarten) students! Through games and hands-on activities, students will build early reading skills using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (tactile) learning. Our Winter/Spring curriculum will focus on: letter recognition and letter sound review, rhyming words, beginning, middle, and ending sounds, an introduction to basic CVC word families, and ultimately blending sounds to read CVC words (bat, cat, sat, etc.)

REGISTRATION: OPENS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH AT 8:00 AM.  Classes are first come, first served and registration will close as classes fill. If you have a particular day or time you would like, we recommend registering early.

Already took Reading Rangers in the fall?
The Winter/Spring class features a completely new curriculum with all new games and activities designed specifically for children in the second half of their Pre-K or 5/6 Program year.

NEW THIS YEAR!
We are offering one combined Winter/Spring session rather than separate Winter and Spring sessions. Classes will run for 16–17 sessions (January-May), making this session longer than our fall program.

Payment/Price: The combined Winter/Spring session runs longer than our fall program and is priced accordingly. Upon registration, you will have the option to pay in full or split payment into two payments.

Refund Policy: Prior to December 1st, a refund minus processing fees will be given. After December 1, 2026, a full refund (minus processing fees) will ONLY be issued if your spot can be filled by another student.

  • Second Ponce Community Wellness Center

    1:00-2:00 PM| Pre-K + 5/6 Program | $630

    *The Monday class has fewer classes than other days and is pro-rated accordingly

    For CTK Preschool @ 2P students: Reading Rangers teachers will pick children up in carpool and walk them to class at the Community Wellness Center. If your child attends soccer after Reading Rangers, please arrange for the soccer coach to pick your child up and let Reading Rangers teachers know the plan. Reading Rangers teachers are unable to walk students to another extracurricular activity after class.

    2:15-3:15 PM| Pre-K + 5/6 Program | $630

    *The Monday class has fewer classes than other days and is pro-rated accordingly

    For CTK Preschool @ 2P students: RR teachers are unable to pick CTK @ 2P students up for the 2:15 PM class. You are welcome to have a CTK teacher walk your child up to class if it is arranged.

    *Reading Rangers teachers will walk TPP students to their preschool classes after Reading Rangers. Students from other preschools are welcome, but families must arrange transportation to preschool after class.

    10:00-11:00 AM | Pre-K + 5/6 Program | $675

    *RR teachers will pick students up from their TELC class and walk students back to their TELC class after Reading Rangers.

    *Open to NMP students only

    12:25–1:25 PM | Pre-K + 5/6 Program | $675

    *Reading Rangers teachers will pick students up from their class. RR teachers are unable to walk students to a Sports and Rec offering after class.

    Northside United Methodist Church
    1:30–2:30 PM | Pre-K + 5/6 Program | $675

    Pre-K students attending the 1:30 class must also register for Stay & Play from 12:25–1:25 through the NMP website. At 1:30, Reading Rangers teachers will pick students up from Stay & Play or the Lions classroom. Reading Rangers teachers are unable to pick students up from a Sports & Rec activity or walk students to a Sports & Rec activity after class.

    *Registration is run in January through CampBrain at Whitefield.
