Teachers


Amanda Wilson, Owner and Teacher:

Amanda taught First Grade at Trinity School for 7 years before staying at home with her children. While at Trinity, she completed the Orton-Gillingham certification and used this approach in her everyday phonics, spelling, and reading instruction. Amanda is also trained in the Handwriting Without Tears program. For 4 years, Amanda was a part-time tutor in the Academic Resource Center at the Lovett School and tutored privately out of her home. She enjoys watching children grow while developing a love and enthusiasm for learning!

Kristen DiCristina, Owner and Teacher:

Kristen is an Associate member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy of Practitioners and Educators. She worked as an Assistant Teacher in the First Grade at Trinity School before she decided to split her time being home with her two boys and private tutoring. She has tutored children aging from Pre-K to 3rd Grade for the past 12 years and enjoys creating a positive and uplifting environment for children to learn!


Katie Rockey, Co-Teacher:

Katie has taught preschool at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church for the past six years. A mom to three older children, she has loved working with preschool aged children for their sweet and loving spirits. She has been a substitute teacher for Reading Rangers over the last two years and is excited to take on a co-teacher role!

Anne Hobart, Co- Teacher:

Anne completed Orton-Gillingham Teacher Training Level I and Level II at the Schenck School and has been an Orton-Gillingham tutor for the past 11 years. She was an Assistant Teacher at Trinity School in the Second Grade for five years. After having her first baby, she decided to stay home and continue her love of Orton-Gillingham tutoring. She works with students ranging from 3 years to 3rd Grade. Anne also helps with academic screenings at a preschool in Atlanta. When Anne is not tutoring, she loves spending time with her husband and two children. She is excited to watch all of our Reading Rangers students learn and grow!
